This policy describes how ArakanHub (“we”) handles information when you use the Android app com.arakanhub.app.

1. Who we are

ArakanHub is a Rakhine-language learning and culture app (dictionary, poems, books, quizzes, and related content).

2. Information we collect

Google Sign-In: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo URL. We request email and an ID token only — we do not read Gmail, Drive, or Contacts.
Account & contributions: words, riddles, poems, books, or error reports you submit, plus optional profile photo you upload.
App usage on device: settings (theme, notifications), bookmarks, download history, and similar data stored on your phone.
Push notifications: a device token (FCM) so we can send Word of the Day or replies, if you enable notifications.

3. How we use information

To create and keep your account, and show your name/photo where needed (for example contributors).
To sync and display community content.
To send notifications you opted into.
To keep the app secure and fix problems.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your Google account for advertising.

4. Where data is stored

Sign-in is handled by Google/Firebase Authentication. App content and uploads are stored on our Cloudflare (Workers, D1, R2) backend. Some files stay only on your device.

5. Sharing

We share data only with the services needed to run the app (Google/Firebase Auth, Cloudflare hosting) and if required by law. Content you publish in the app (for example a submitted poem after approval) may be visible to other users.

6. Retention & deletion

We keep account and contribution data while your account is active. To delete your account or personal data, email tunminzan99@gmail.com from the same address you used to sign in. You can also sign out and use the app as a guest; guest mode does not require a Google account.

7. Children

The app is a general language/culture tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for advertising. Parents who want data removed can contact us.

8. Changes

We may update this page. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
